About

I began coding in high school, tinkering with HTML and CSS to create websites for friends. Those early days of crafting web pages in a basic text editor sparked a passion that's only grown stronger over time.

Throughout my career, I learned to embrace new tools and tech stacks, each expanding my ability to create more dynamic and complex digital experiences. This evolution taught me not just about coding, but about the art of building scalable, maintainable solutions.

My main focus these days is continued work on Trip Report. I have the most fun building software in that sweet spot where design and engineering meet — things that look good but are also built well.

When I’m not at the computer, I’m usually climbing, hiking, or spending time with my family.

  1. 2024 — Present

    Conceptualized, designed, and developed Trip Report – a comprehensive full-stack web application for outdoor enthusiasts to create, share, and discover detailed trip reports. Solely responsible for all aspects of the project, from initial concept to MVP launch, demonstrating strong technical skills and entrepreneurial drive. Designed key features and integrated third-party services. Gathered feedback and conducted user testing. Iterated on the app based on real-world use cases. Managed the entire product lifecycle from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

Fun Stuff

  • Most recently climbed Mt. Baker via the Easton Glacier and soloed Mt. Shasta via Avalanche Gulch. Also completed the monster climb up San Jacinto via Snow Creek earlier in the year.

  • I occasionally produce music as a hobby, experimenting with various genres and styles. Sometimes I even put it on the internet under the name "supposable thumbs" or score my own hiking videos. I typically use Ableton Live, a piano, and too many synths.

    Been gaming since 1989 and have owned just about every console along the way. I also built all my own gaming PCs. While I don't have nearly as much time to play these days, I still try to sneak in a rare session to play through a new title or old gem. Currently playing:
